Saleh Husin Asking Iran Petrochemical Investment and Infrastructure

Minister of Industry Saleh Husin asked Iran come to invest in Indonesia, especially the petrochemical and infrastructure sectors. The reason, Middle Eastern countries have qualified in both sectors. Saleh who received a visit from Iranian Ambassador, Valiolah Mohammadi said Iran is an oil and gas producer that is important in the world. They not only produce crude but has long been developing oil and gas industry to next level. In line with the government program, this Hanura politician said, Indonesia needs cooperation with a reliable country in developing the petrochemical industry such as Iran.

In Middle Eastern countries, the industry was conducted by the National Petrochemical Company (NPC), under the Ministry of Oil and Gas (Petroleum) Iran. In addition to petrochemicals, Indonesia also expects Iran to invest in infrastructure. In May 2006, Indonesia and Iran have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the field of SMEs. He argues, Ambassador of Iran as well as a commitment to revive the momentum of the cooperation.
